Manual Lymphatic Drainage ~ MLD
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a Light touch, gentle, rhythmic technique designed to support your body’s natural detoxification and recovery systems.
Long regarded in the medical and surgical fields as an essential component of healing, it is also sought after in the luxury wellness world for its ability to restore balance, calm the nervous system, and create a sense of lightness and renewal.
This technique is done Dry (no oil or lotion) over the skin which allows for proper Engagement to lymphatic vessels and lymphatic flow. It is very relaxing and should never cause any discomfort.
For post operative clients we take care to keep your areas of focus clean and sanitary. we may use gloves as a protective barrier. we avoid Areas with sutures until they are healed and you have surgeons clearance for more traditional massage therapy, and/or scar therapy.
Brazilian Inspired Lymphatic Massage
Brazilian-inspired approach is slightly deeper and more massage-like than traditional light touch MLD and includes the Addition of oil or lotion.
while still using directional techniques that support natural lymphatic flow, We begin by gently opening key lymphatic pathways, then use rhythmic, directional techniques to encourage excess fluid toward the body's natural drainage points.
This work may support a lighter, less puffy feeling and can create temporary contouring effects related to fluid movement.
Post op patients: when your incisions are fully healed and with clearance from your surgeon or doctor, this modality is a wonderful addition to your lymphatic treatments
**Because social media has created a lot of confusion around lymphatic massage, we want to be clear about what this service is and what it is not
Some services marketed as "Brazilian lymphatic" are closer to body contouring or sculpting, using RF/Cavitation devices or wooden tools.
In Our Method We do not use any abrasive tools/cavitation or claim to break down fat OR reshape the body permanently. We may use tools such as gua-sha, cupping, red light and heat therapy to enhance lymphatic Flow.
Why Lymphatic System Care Matters
The lymphatic system is responsible for moving metabolic waste, immune cells, and excess fluid through the body. When it becomes sluggish, the body struggles with swelling, inflammation, and slower healing.
Medical Reach: Surgeons frequently recommend MLD before and after procedures to reduce swelling, bruising, scar tissue formation, and pain — accelerating recovery time.
Wellness & Detox: Clients also turn to MLD for migraines, autoimmune conditions, fatigue, and as part of a seasonal reset or holistic detoxification program.
Beauty & Confidence: By reducing water retention and encouraging circulation, lymphatic massage can leave you looking and feeling lighter, brighter, and more aligned.
